“Sliding
over….. is the best moment ever!”
Last Tuesday, we went to
Mandiangin for having recreation there with our physics teacher, Miss.Tri, and
our belletwoman Reyhan Abla.
Mandiangin is one of recreation
site where you can find some amazing views of mountain, waterfall, lake, and
dam in one area, and also the thing that you should not miss, the outbound
place, to make your holiday become unforgettable.
We went there by traditional
public transport, namely ‘angkot’. Do you know what is angkot? Have you ever
got in it? You will find an extremely different sense of travelling, meet faces
of people that you won’t be familiar with before, so many people, and also the
great odor of humans, or maybe also various of animals that are carried inside
by the people.
As we had arrived in Mandiangin,
there were eighteen of us, without Nurma because Nurma is still sick, Icha is
still in her training in Bandung for International Astronomy Olympiad, Aya was
in her business visiting her family’s wedding in Jakarta and Rika, our eldest
sister that preferred to be absent was taking care of Nurma.
We came to Mandiangin with tons
of foods, that has convinced us that our stomach is not going to be empty.
We started exploring Mandiangin
by walking up the path that more looks like stairs, one of our friend, that I
could say now she had no work at that time trying to count how many stairs she
should get for reaching the peak.
She said it was approximately 100
stairs, to go to peak, and certainly 200 stairs if we wanted to go back to our
initial place.
Could you imagine how tired are
we? Hmmm…yes we are tired, but it was really interesting and becoming our new
experience.
In the middle of our way, we took
some photos and had some rests, relaxing our body parts, then we continue our big journey (is that big?) again…
As we arrived on the peak…. Oh my
god… the view was so..so..so…beautiful, and great! We was looking for the
waterfall in Mandiangin that the issue, the waterfall was near the place we
were at that time…but somehow, when we asked people who lived there, they said
the waterfall was dry, because now it is draught, it needs two or three nights
continuous rain for fulfilling the lake and can go to the waterfall…
So she just recommended us to go
to “Benteng Belanda” that is three or four kilometers from that place and we
decided to go there. Although we knew in seconds we were going to break our own
feet.
We had not arrived at the place
yet, till somebody said to us, it needed a really great struggle to go there,
and we decided to go back, worrying about any of us will collapse and
unconscious, and we gave up, (but we were not looser okay…)
We back to our initial place, but
in the middle of our way, Ningrum and Yaya slid over because the soil was
really wet, it was really a pity for them, that causing them feeling pain on
their hands and feet… but they just laughed and said that was okay for a
meaningful experience.
As we had been back to the
initial place, we had our lunch and ate together…
